Our shelter could not keep its doors open without the dedicated kindness shown by a wonderful volunteer community who are always ready to welcome another helping hand.
Day Time Services
We are preparing to open the newly renovated Hub and are looking for regular volunteers to receive clients. This area will be opened to offer a number of services:
Computer Access for Home and Job Search
Bathroom and Shower Facilities
Laundry Facilities
Evening Services
While Viola's does have staff to work the late overnight shifts, we rely on volunteers to open the doors and distribute meals.
If you have can spare an evening or two each month (or more) the team would be grateful to have you join. Many hands make light work.
Meal Preparation
We are looking for individuals or groups to use our on-site kitchen to prepare meals for the client community.
We are looking for individuals or groups who are interested in:
Individuals or groups to prepare meals to be stored and served downstairs.
Groups who are interested in hosting regular meal programs.
Maintenance, Cleaning and General Services
Maybe you're handy with tools and wouldn't mind putting your name on a list for when we need some work done. Or maybe you're are interested in cleaning up after events and helping sort donations. We're always looking to have name for work parties.
